[CoLoCo] dvd backup help?

think that is what the Acid:Rip does for you. It has all sorts of
drop down boxes and options that you can modify and will eventually
output the appropriate mencoder command based on what you want.
Unfortunately, I'm not a smart multimedia guy and can't really
deconstruct the command beyond that this is what Acid:Rip generated
for a dvd that I wanted to backup.
Acid Rip will allow you to choose a target file size and will try to
modify the command to fit what you want.
I think that if you want a perfect bit-for-bit copy dd is the way to go.
