[CoLoCo] Open Office

Hey all, I need some help. I have a close friend who is the VP of the IT
department for a company here in Colorado. Speaking to him over this holiday
weekend I found out that he is looking to sign a new license agreement with
Microsoft for the Microsoft Office Suite for use throughout the whole
company. He also told me that he is possibly looking into Open Office but
did not seem too comfortable saying "he was not ready to put his job/career
on the line for some open source software" and figured he would stick with
Microsoft Office. I did my best to assure him that Open Office is the better
option but I don't think he bought it. Does anyone have any good reputable
literature on why to use Open Office over Microsoft Office at the
company-wide level? I am looking for some good side-by-side analysis or
pros/cons kind of stuff for companies looking to switch, so that I can send
it over to him.
