I only find this is an issue if you suspend or hibernate the laptop. When I do a proper cold boot in the new location, my laptop fully acknowledges the correct profile.

I'm looking for some pointers on "fixing" the networking on my laptop.
It all works, it's just that I am getting tired of manually changing it.
I am running 8.10 on an HP laptop and I have a docking station. When I
switch to the docking station I'd like the wired configuration to take
over and the wireless to turn off. And, of course, vice versa.
I'm ending up using ifup/ifdown to turn on and off the appropriate
interfaces and it's just getting to be a bit annoying.
Any pointers on how to do this correctly will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Ken
