The OLPC is in a class by itself, intended for changing how kids
around the world are educated. Nothing else has the screen that can
be read in the sunlight, or the very low power usage and flexible
charging circuity that a 6-year-old can power, or uses open source
bios as well as OS, or apps all designed from the ground up for
sharing between kids, or is ruggedized to be water and sand resistant,
or has mesh networking and routing at ultra-low-power built in, or has
the price/effectiveness ratio they get based on avoiding excess
marketing and focussing on big buyers.

It isn't just a cute cheap little computer.... It is a new way to
educate kids.
