Gutsy has really started to stabilize in the past few days. There were
several annoying bugs, the type you expect in any beta, that caused odd
behaviors. But tons of updates over the past week or so have done allot
to stabilize everything.
I have not seen it mentioned, so I will mention one other feature of
gutsy that is fantastic: Firefox plugins in the repositories. When you
click on Tools->Add-ons you get the plugin manager. Notice a second
link at the bottom next to the get new addons link: Get Ubuntu Addons.
This will install the plugins from the Ubuntu repositories instead of
from the Firefox website. While only a few of the plugins are
available, any plugins installed this way will be available to all users
of the system, and will update automatically as any Ubuntu package
would.
Nice feature!
