[CoLoCo] More recovery fun

Hi gang!

Here's a fun one for ya'all to ponder....

I've got my Sony Vaio (Running 7.04) and a Compaq Presario 2100 (Running XP)
The XP laptop will not boot. I am trying to get the the Compaq to start up
and allow me to boot it from my Vaio with the intent of recovering data.

One Live CD has failed so far, and unfortunately, I am away from my CDs. Any
suggestions?

I'm thinking a hardware hack may be needed.
