[CoLoCo] Renaming a volume

Hello;

I'm trying to change the volume name on a USB drive, formatted FAT32 and
cannot get Vista to conform. The volume needs to have a certain name, in
lower case, and vista insists on using Upper case letters. It only seems to
do this with the USB drive, since my hard drives have mixed cases.

The reason for lower case is that the path that it ends up using is
dependent on the specific case, and I have no idea how to manually mount a
device like this on a Mac. The script we will be running from the drive
will need the path to be correct.

So my question is, is there a way to change the volume name under Linux?
I've not tried doing this on XP yet, since I have to reboot my laptop to do
that, and I'm in the middle of another project at the moment.
