I thought open source guaranteed all of those. I guess I've just
considered OS synonymous with the GPL - i.e. if it's not GPL it's not
open source. I never thought BSD, for example, was open source since a
company, like Apple, can make a closed OS with it. If that is what RMS
is arguing then I agree. So is he more open to the term Free and Open
Source? I think the term free software is confusing since it's too
much like freeware. I proposed the term "freedomware" in a post a
while back.
