[CoLoCo] Need help recovering data/system

I honestly think you are right on the xorg.conf being FUBARed

This morning before I ran off to work, I managed to get it up to the Kubuntu
loading splash (Logo, with the little bar, and the ASCII text of what was
being loaded), after it loaded to 100%, it showed the splash again, this
time not showing anything loading.

I've got a friend burning an ISO for me today, so hopefully I can get it to
work from there.
