[CoLoCo] Need help recovering data/system

Hi guys!

I just tried updating to 7.04 using the following:

sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

And, apparently, a few packages were broken. So I attempted to repair them
via synaptic, no dice.

When I tried to repair them, I lost graphical. I have a feeling that X was
wasted.

I need some help recovering the data on there, if at all possible.
