Most definitely. I agree with organization being a big part of this. I think if we have a &#39;chair-person&#39; to run the meetings, it should do to keep things on topic, and moving along smoothly. Not to volunteer them without their input, but I know Rich and/or Nathan would be great candidates for chairing meetings. Other than that, we would just need someone to update our &#39;Meeting Minutes&#39; section with a basic outline of the meeting - topics that were discussed, good points or arguments that were made, and what decisions were made (event planned, date/location/time settled, delayed topic until next meeting, etc.). This &#39;Scribe&#39; or &#39;Secretary&#39; could either be an informal thing where people can offer to do it after the meeting, or we could appoint someone who would be interested in the position to do this for every meeting.<div>
<br></div><div>Leading into real-life meetings, this could be useful as well - possibly creating IRL meetings on a regular basis. Again, we can use this Agenda/Chairperson/Scribe setup with IRL meetings as well. However, I think scheduling regular IRL meetings would be for another mailing-list topic, and would take a bit more organizing to get it done.<br>

This would be an awesome idea, as long as there were structure and regular times. Monthly sounds like a good place to start, not too overwhelming but frequent enough to get what needs to be done, done. Maybe there can be appointed roles or we can just take turns note-taking or any thing else that needs to be done.<br>

<br></div><div>I figure once a month meetings would do pretty well. That would be often enough for everyone to stay up-to-date, but not so often that people become overwhelmed with too many meetings to attend. If this became popular enough, we could even take the time to record our minutes and create a wiki from the Loco&#39;s main wiki page so they can be used as a reference for those who may have missed a meeting. As far as the channel, I&#39;m not sure if we&#39;d be able to use #ubuntu-meeting, or what the schedule looks like, but I don&#39;t think we&#39;d have a problem holding the meetings in #ubuntu-chicago. For right now, I&#39;m more interested in finding out how everyone feels about having meetings. If it&#39;s favorable, then we can go on to setting a day/time/channel for them.</div>
