You can run the server kernel as a desktop, but the server kernel doesn't include some desktop-specific modules . . . They assume that you wouldn't run a server via wifi, so the server kernel doesn't include wireless drivers and stuff like that.<br>

newer. And you cannot compare the support of Ubuntu to Debian.<br>
IIRC the only think that is different in Server Edition to Desktop is that
Server edition has no GUI and includes some server applications that you can
install in ubuntu desktop edition. I have tried it before and I dont see the
difference. </p>
