Hey hey all... My name is Aaron Taddei and i have been windows free for almost 2 years. I still run windows at work but oh well. I kinda tinker with samba and Ubuntu minimal or anything that dosnt have a K or KDE on it. I am currently learning to program in C and looking for help to get there. So let party like its 1999!<br>

Hey all, some names I've never heard and some I haven't seen in a while. <br><br>Eddie Martinez (as the email address implies) and I am a Poli Sci major at Illinois Institute of Technology (Evan and Kevin get shoutouts). I spend more time with computers than I do reading the books for my classes, so my i might have things all backwards. Freddy is my brother (twin), and one time said 'oh by the way, you are learning linux now, I installed ubuntu on your machine'. I believe this was Dapper or so. I look forward to meeting and learning from all of you.<div>

My name is Joshua Stackhouse and I'm a former IT professional and jack of all trades. I spent the past ten years supporting Windows environments and anything from satellite uplinks to palm pilots. I spent 4 years in the US Navy as an IT, and even had my own consulting firm for 2 years informing small businesses which technology options were available and which purchases to make. I also have experience as a technical trainer from when I was in the military. Currently I am in school at Truman College in Chicago to become a pyschologist, and I hope to take my technical background with me to the field. I have been using Ubuntu for about a year, and I am currently the lead developer for a project known as the Ubuntu for the Windows IT which aims to make the transition to Ubuntu easy for seasoned Windows geeks. I am very interested in attending LoCo events and hope to meet some of you at these events. live in southern Illinois in Monmouth. I'm attending Monmouth College<br>
and finishing my degree in Physics. Ideally I'd go on to get my PhD<br>
in physics. Right now I'm working with the CS majors on getting an<br>
open source lab going. 8 computers using various linux distros<br>
