I'm wondering why Ubuntu doesn't have an official channel for mac
users? #ubuntu-mac.

For the record, there is an #ubuntu-powerpc channel, and there are 13
people in it as of the time of this email. There are also PPC builds
of feisty fawn for ubuntu and kubuntu, but they're in the "ports"
section of http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/ tree . . .

PPC was only moved over to Ports in February, and so the status of it
going foward doesn't look too good to me unless they get more community
involvement.

An #ubuntu-macs channel might not be a bad idea for current generation macs, though.
