This is just a reminder that we will be holding our Key Signing / Planning Event
this Sunday. Details about the event can be found in the original email [1]. In
order for the key signing portion of the event to work, certain steps need to be
taken. First, verify that you have a GnuPG key. If not, you can follow the guide
on the wiki [2] to create one. That guide will also explain how to
upload your ke
to the keyservers, which will make it easier for other people to find
and retrieve
your key. On the day of the event, you need to bring certain pieces of
with you. The first of these are several slips of paper with your key
fingerprint on
them. There is a useful tool in the 'signing-party' package called
'gpg-key2ps' that
will help you generate these slips of paper. Simply run
'gpg-key2ps <key id> > <file>.ps'. So for me, I would enter
'gpg-key2ps 3933A7CE 3933A7CE.ps'. That will create a Postscript document that
consists of several tiny slips with my key information on it. I can then open up
3933A7CE.ps and print out several copies. You also need to bring at
least one piece
of government issued identification (although more is preferred). This
will allow us
to verify that you are who you claim to be.

I am looking forward to seeing everyone on Sunday,
Nathan Handler
