I think that if at all possible it would be great to say the video was
created solely with Linux. My experience with video editing in Linux has
been less than stellar however, but Its been a while since I've tried
it. I think I'll try and play around a bit with it this week and see
whether I still want to gouge my own eyes out with the current Linux
video editing packages.

The other side to this discussion is that for us to try and refrain from
looking like deranged free software lunatics to the non-Linux people we
are trying to recruit. If Linux doesn't edit video well then we should
just own up to that just like we should to anything lacking in Linux.
What we can highlight is that over time all of these issues will be
addressed with incredible free and open source software.

People just want their computers to do that they need as simply and as
cheaply as possible. Its about value. I take pride in what I can create
in Linux or open source applications that are useful and provide value
and savings. If we can show that in the creation of the video itself
then that is a huge plus.
