We need more away from the bay and socal. However I believe there is still people in the Central Valley Linux Enthusiast group! Fresno does have a lug that seems pretty cool from the people I have met with who have been there. Either way you are not out on the dark in Merced at all. I think that there is a lot of work that can be done Ubuntu wise outside of te bay, but Linux users groups are there and well worth going to. You're correct that our events are currently isolated to the bay and southern California. An Ubuntu Hour is just creating the event in <a href="http://loco.ubuntu.com" rel="noreferrer" target="_blank">loco.ubuntu.com</a> and then showing up at a coffee shop for an hour, usually with a sign indicating it's an Ubuntu Hour.
