Hello, fellow Ubuntu advocates!
The Southern California Linux Expo is one of the best Linux and Open
Source shows in the country, and is the first major convention of the
year. This is a chance for Ubuntu to really shine, and an exciting
chance to show off many of the new developments, from phones, to snappy
Ubuntu Core and the Internet of Things, and so on.
Canonical is supplying Ubuntu California with Ubuntu 14.04 LTS DVDs and
System 76 is providing laptops running Ubuntu for us to show off a
premium Ubuntu experience.
Through the community reimbursement fund, Canonical is also going to
provide grey Ubuntu polo shirts for booth volunteers. This will ensure
a sharp, professional look as we represent the best operating system in
the world.
If anyone is still planning to be at the Ubuntu booth for a 4 hour shift
during SCALE, it is important that they sign up on our project page by
Wednesday night so I can order the shirts.

By volunteering, you will not only get to keep your Ubuntu shirt as a
thank you (and to help help when you represent Ubuntu in the future),
but you will receive a complementary full-access SCALE exhibitor badge
that can be used to attend all talks throughout the four day show when
you are not working the booth. (And if there is a talk you really want
to see, we will accommodate you during your booth shifts.)
So please sign up or email me by 11:59 PM Wednesday the 28th. I'll be
sending the shirt order to Canonical at that time.
Thank you, and hope to see you all at SCALE!
