[Ubuntu-US-CA] 64-bit "not recommended"?

Here is a request for 64-bit user assistance.  I have one machine
running 64 bit and I heard there were a few others.

I may have mentioned this 2006 article about the 32-bit to 64-bit
migration by Eric Raymond before but I still think it's relevant
despite the shifting timeline.

Hi all,

I have been following this bug report:

And I thought I would join/find existing 64-bit resources. It seems the
current team and IRC channel were mostly dormant, so I'd like to invite
all loco-team contacts to invite people that use or consider using 64bit
system in their respective teams to join/make this resources known.

I also created a project, so Answer and FAQs can be created. See below
my original comment in the bug.

I think the general consensus is 64-bit in Ubuntu needs some love and
less confusion.
