In one week, LugRadio will be holding a special live event in San
Francisco at the Sony Metreon, on April 12th and 13th. More information
is available here: http://lugradio.org/live/USA2008/start

The Ubuntu California LoCo will have a booth there, and I will be
coordinating that booth. At the moment plans are very simple: we have
some booth space and a table, and I'll have my laptop and monitor there
showing the same presentation I had at SCaLE6X, plus I'll be there to
give information about Ubuntu 7.10 and 8.04 LTS, I'll hand out burned
7.10 CDs, give out those little cards we had at SCaLE6X, and so forth.
At various times, my little pal Michael will be demonstrating GCompris
by playing it--that seemed to be a really big hit at SCaLE.

If you can spend some time at the booth to just be friendly and talk to
people about Ubuntu, then the Ubuntu California LoCo would be happy to
have you drop by! You may even be eligible for a free Ubuntu California
name badge[1]! You must meet the following simple requirements:

 1. You are a member of the Ubuntu California LoCo Team and are
registered as such in Launchpad.
 2. You have signed the Ubuntu Code of Conduct and agree to comply with
it while you are at the booth or wearing your badge (in other words,
whenever you are representing Ubuntu).
 3. You will be helping out at the Ubuntu booth for at least three hours
this weekend.
 4. Last but not least, you reply to this email and let me know you'll
be helping out and want a badge! :D

So if you can make it to LugRadio Live and are willing to donate a
couple hours of your time, please let me know so I will have a badge for
you when you join us. All I need is your first and last name along with
your Launchpad account name. You'll be able to pick it up at the Ubuntu
booth.

Everything you need to create and print your own badges is also
available[2] in a Bazaar repository. You can grab it directly from my
website or through Launchpad. The font is Mallige which is available in
the Ubuntu repositories.

Please let us know ahead of time if you can make it so we know what to
expect.

Best regards,
Nathan
