Explanation of the Ubuntu delta and why it can be dropped:

Debian has incorporated david sugar's ftbfs patch so can be synced again

Changelog since current lucid version 0.11+debian-1ubuntu1:

remotefs (0.11+debian-3) unstable; urgency=low

  * QA upload.
  * Add quilt patch system.
  * 01_gcc_44.diff - Fix aliasing with gcc-4.4. (Closes: #526671).
    + Patch taken from David Sugar at Ubuntu, thanks.
  * Update init to check if file exists. (Policy 9.3.2).
  * Add watch file.
