No problem, I'll try to be more clear :)

Your copyright file says this:

The Debian packaging is (C) 2007, Alan Baghumian <alan at technotux.org>
and is licensed under the GPL, see above.

On Debian systems, the complete text of the GNU General
Public License can be found in `/usr/share/common-licenses/GPL'.

"see above" here usually means that the standard GPL header has already
been included in the copyright file, but as the rest of this package is
CC licensed, it's not there. You should include it here. It looks
something like:

This program is free software; you can redistribute it and/or modify
it under the terms of the GNU General Public License as published by
the Free Software Foundation; version 2 dated June, 1991.

This program is distributed in the hope that it will be useful, but
WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY; without even the implied warranty of
MERCHANTABILITY or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. See the GNU
General Public License for more details.

You should have received a copy of the GNU General Public License
along with this program; see the file COPYING. If not, write to the
Free Software Foundation, Inc., 51 Franklin St, Fifth Floor,
   Boston, MA 02110-1301 USA.

My second point was about the *versioning* of the GPL in this case. The
are multiple versions of the GPL in existence and to avoid ambiguity, it
would be preferable if you could say which version the package is
licensed under. The place where the original packaging is from should
tell you this. Then you can replace that sentnse like so:

On Debian systems, the complete text of the GNU General Public License
version 2 can be found in `/usr/share/common-licenses/GPL-2'.

Hope this clears things up.

Regards,
Iain
