You have been subscribed to a public bug by Daniel T Chen (crimsun):

As exemplified by the following command, binary packages generated from
xmonad-contrib's source cannot be installed currently in jaunty:

$ sudo apt-get -s install libghc6-xmonad-contrib-dev
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
  libghc6-xmonad-contrib-dev: Depends: libghc6-utf8-string-dev (= 0.3.1.1-2build1) but 0.3.3-2 is to be installed
E: Broken packages

Attached are debdiffs against:
1) the current jaunty source package,
2) the current Debian unstable source package

** Affects: xmonad-contrib (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Wishlist
     Assignee: Daniel T Chen (crimsun)
         Status: Confirmed
