Explanation of the Ubuntu delta and why it can be dropped:

Debian included most of the Ubuntu changes except one: as debian/copyright
doesn't include source's URL, I dropped this change made by the last Ubuntu 
uploader.

Changelog since current intrepid version 1.2.1-11ubuntu1:

libgringotts (1.2.1-12) unstable; urgency=low

  * New maintainer, adopting orphaned package (closes: #434517)
  * Updated Homepage field to point to current development site
  * Fixed watch file (closes: #449843)
  * Cleaned up package short description
  * Updated copyright information to include all authors
  * Rewrote debian/rules; no longer using cdbs or dpatch
  * Updated to Debian Policy 3.7.3
