Are you saying the only way to get the current version patched in hardy
is to backport the dev package from intrepid? I'm not too familiar with
the whole process, but this seems to me like something we'd want to fix
in the hardy version too (along with a few other bugs, such as bug
239171 and particularly bug 214401 which prevents install if python2.4
is installed).
