This bug was fixed in the package nagios2 - 2.11-1.1ubuntu1

  * Merge from debian unstable, remaining changes:
    * debian/nagios2-common.nagios2.init
      - Fix init script pid file. (LP: #174466)
    * Update maintainers as per spec.

    - Fix reload so it doesnt kill nagios. Thanks to Matt Brown and
      Nicolas Vialcaircel. (LP: #236373)
