Thanks for your work on this!

I noticed the part that says "-Suggest ffmpeg (needed for firewire
capture)". My understanding is that FFMPEG is actually mandatory for
rendering anything in Kdenlive and was wondering if this was supposed to
refer to DVgrab, which is optional, but required if firewire capture is
needed?

If you like, I'd be happy to confirm this on the Kdenlive development
mailing list?
