Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: hardinfo

Please sync hardinfo 0.4.2.3-3 from Debian unstable into hardy universe.

This revision fixes a grave Debian bug, see http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=468105 :
hardinfo places its modules in /usr/lib64/hardinfo/modules on amd64
systems, presumably to cater to biarch-style distributions (such as
Red Hat, IIRC). This placement is inappropriate on Debian, where it
can interfere with upgrades of libc6, which owns /usr/lib64 as a
symlink to /usr/lib; could you please disable the relevant logic?

This revision does not contain other changes or new features.
The current hardy version (0.4.2.3-2) does not have Ubuntu specific changes.
It builds and installs in a hardy amd64 pbuilder and solves the problem mentioned above.

debian/changelog:

 hardinfo (0.4.2.3-3) unstable; urgency=low

   * changed modules install dir for amd64
(thanks to ucko at d.o). (Closes: #468105)

** Affects: hardinfo (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
