** Attachment added: "debdiff for hardy"
http://launchpadlibrarian.net/11087873/amavisd-new_2.5.2-2ubuntu2.dsc.diff
** Changed in: amavisd-new (Ubuntu)
Assignee: dAniel hAhler (blueyed) => (unassigned)
Status: In Progress => Triaged
** Description changed:
Binary package hint: amavisd-new
TO REPRODUCE
1. install amavisd-new and spamassassin
2. edit /etc/default/spamassassin to read CRON=1
3. edit /etc/spamassassin/local.cf to read use_bayes 0
- 4. wait until the cronjob runs (*/3:18)
+ 4. execute the cronjob manually: "sudo -u amavis /usr/sbin/amavisd-new-cronjob sa-sync"
PROBLEM
Cron then starts "/usr/sbin/amavisd-new-cronjob sa-sync" which in turn runs "/usr/bin/sa-learn --sync" which then complains by mail:
ERROR: configuration specifies 'use_bayes 0', sa-learn disabled
SUGGESTION
Avoid running sa-learn if use_bayes is set to 0. I'm however not sure
how this can queried from the spamassassin configuration.
