Does the plan of removing the secondary partition and the extended partition inside still good? How exactly do I do that - with a Gparted livecd? Or a Ubuntu livecd? </div><div class="gmail_extra">Do i use a Gparted liveCD to resize afterwards? Or can I use the LVM GUI? </div><div class="gmail_extra">In /dev notation exactly what is the secondary partition and extended partition? My understanding, which I accept is likely to be wrong, is that I must keep and not mess with /dev/sda1 - that is where my MBR and GRUB sits; .dev/sda2 and /dev/sda5 is just confusing me no end.
