</div>Have a look at rsync, it is generally much quicker than ftp.<br>
<span><div class="gmail_quote"><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0px 0px 0px 0.8ex;border-left-width:1px;border-left-color:rgb(204,204,204);border-left-style:solid;padding-left:1ex"><br></blockquote>
</div></span></blockquote><div><br></div></div><div>Remember that rsync uses ssh as its transport and if there are issues rsync might still be affected by them. A common issue with ssh is having name lookups enabled when DNS isn't available so adding 'UseDNS no' to /etc/ssh/ssh_config and /etc/ssh/sshd_config should help there. If there are genuine issues with connectivity then adding 'ServerAliveInterval 60' may help.</div>
</div></div></div></blockquote><div><br></div><div>You could try using ssh/sftp with the "-v" for verbose or "-vv" for even more verbose messages. This might help you getting some debug information (you'll have to use the terminal) which might help you find what's going on, example command:</div>
