I don't know anything about the program itself, but as for finding the installation directory you could run 'whereis xgnokii' which should show you where the executable with that name is stored.<br>
If that doesn't work there's also 'locate xgnokii' which should show the position of any files and directories with that name.<br>

Subject: [ubuntu-uk] Getting Xgnokii to work?<br>

I've installed Xgnokii from the Ubuntu Software centre, hopefully to<br>
administer my Nokia X3 phone.<br>
It's installed OK but when I click the icon nothing happens except a<br>
very faint splash screen in the middle of my screen that just disappears.<br>
The User guide <a href="http://gnokii.org/docs.shtml" target="_blank">http://gnokii.org/docs.shtml</a> doesn't seem to be much help<br>
as it talks about copying files from the installation directory but<br>
doesn't tell you where the installation directory is located!<br>
Anyone know anything about this app?<br>
