This is exactly idea that i had. The wireless router will also come in handy when i need to browse from my phone anywhere in the house.!

On a side note, im thinking of getting a 37inch tv. Will a cat5 cable be able to handle a high enough resolution whilst streaming?

Might work. They should supply a wireless router (or at least they did
for me) which you will plug the cable modem into, then you you'll have
about 4 ports free, one can be used by your PC and the other can be used
by the XBOX/media device. You can leave it connected, there is no need
to mess around plugging it in and unplugging it.

Rob
