Its not the first time I have installed Ubuntu. I have installed 8.04 on a Windows XP machine, for dual boot. It isnt a recognised company hardware, its made by a company called Hi-Grade. As far as doing a Ctrl+Alt+1 I cant do that because it freezes, the minute the desktop tries to show and I have to hit the start button to restart the laptop.
