<div dir="ltr">The M-Audio transit is very good in this respect. Simply a small box on the end of a USB cable with line in and Line / optical Out. I've used one at the Radio station I work for years (although I cannot say what the situation is like under Ubuntu - other M-Audio products seem to be supported)<br>
