[ubuntu-uk] Messed up upgrade from 14.04 to 16.04

At the terminal prompt, you could try:

sudo dpkg --configure -a

which should hopefully kick off the remaining updates. If that
completes OK, follow it with

sudo apt update
sudo apt dist-upgrade

and hopefully you'll be in a better state.
