This would seem to defy their point somewhat. I'm carefully not
criticising you here, but I imagine that the whole list cringed on
reading that :)

If you can get a good internet connection and don't mind entrusting
your data to a complete stranger on the Internet, I can probably give
you at least half a TB on a server you can rsync stuff to.
