My machine has had a hissy fit and lost control of the trackpad. The 
mouse cursor was stuck over the launcher and it would only scroll the 
icons up and down. Plugging in an external got movement back up I 
couldn't use keyboard input on terminal and couldn't stop VLC by pushing 
space. I also couldn't move windows or bring up the reboot dialogue by 
pushing the power button. I had to hard reset so I wasn't able to get 
any readings.

Now the fan is going crazy and here's my vmstat output, anything useful 
in there?
