I have the System 76 Lemur which is the PCSpecialist Xenon. It works out of
the box with Ubuntu but System76 provide an open source driver that allows
the control buttons to function correctly.
12.04 has better power management than the originally installed 11.10 did.
The build is a bit plasticy but as a relatively cheap utility laptop that
you can design yourself, they're worth a look.
