Search for printers there to discover their level of support.

Personally I'd get an HP. I bought an HP Officejet 6310 All-in-One and 
it's been perfect. I don't think they make them anymore, but I'd 
certainly consider another HP printer above any other.

Having sat in the #ubuntu irc channels and seen the grief people have 
getting various printers to work, I'd stick with what works.
