[ubuntu-uk] sound not working in xubuntu (javadayaz)

Hi Javad
Whenever I have encountered strange audio problems I have usually found a solution by installing the Pulse Audio Volume Control (pavucontrol in Synaptic) and playing around with the settings for input and output devices.
