Hi all,

Ada Lovelace day is coming up on the 7th of October, it is a global day
a day to celebrate womens contributions to science, technology,
engineering, and maths. Like most awesome things in the world of
technology, it started in the UK. http://findingada.com/

The Ubuntu Women project is getting involved in this with a Month of
Making competition which started a few weeks back:

http://blog.ubuntu-women.org/2011/09/today-starts-the-ubuntu-women-month-of-making/

and they have a range of fine prizes on offer:

So if you are eligible to enter, now is the time to get making something
with at least a tenuous connection to Ubuntu and maybe win a prize.

Good luck,

Alan.
