The problem was, each time I tried to enter a chanel, nothing happened. 
I could see #ubuntu but no activity was in there, and when I tried to 
enter #ubuntu-uk click on enter and no box came up. Then suddenly, I was 
pinged by somebody and #ubuntu-uk started working.
