I'm not sure of the answers to your actual questions, sorry, and this
one here may well be rhetorical, but it is useful when you're not sure
of what an MP3 file is and you just want to hear a preview, though it does get
annoying when you have other music playing and accidently hover over a
file and you wonder where the other music is coming from!  :-)
