I have just taken delivery of an Asus Eee PC 2015PEM. I will, of
course, be putting Ubuntu on it, but as delivered it has Windows 7
Starter and a rather odd alternative that boots up very quickly, and I'm
sure it is built on linux (because the games are very Gnome). However,
if you were one of those people who don't like Unity, this would make
you really sick! So don't get it confused with Asus putting a full
Ubuntu Linux distribution on their netbooks. I think the only reason
they have it is because they know that Windows 7 takes an age to boot.

I have also tried to find out if the company I got my netbook from
(Simply Asus) were going to sell the models with Ubuntu pre-loaded.
Unfortunately, their sales department are men of few words (strange for
salesmen) and all the told me was

"We do not have any information currently about a machine running ubuntu
as standard."
