I discovered an old Logitech webcam in a cupboard - I /think/ it might
be a C120 but I don't know - there are no marks on it that I can see.
I ran Live Cds both for Ubuntu 11.04 and Linux Mint, installed Cheese
and Skype. Cheese could open the webcam in both, but the latest Skype
edition, 2.2 beta, although it could see the webcam was there, wouldn't
open it, on EITHER distros.
I don't really want to install a distro to my (small) HDD until I can
get that sorted.
Is there a problem with the current version of Skype? My Netbook (which
is currently awaiting a new screen as it got cracked) has a built-in
webcam and that gets used by Skype OK "OOTB"!
