Hi Nige,

Normally these transfers would take place just through your router.
You would need to do some fancy configuration in order to make the
transfers pass through your ISP, but if you did so you could also make
transfers if, for example, your laptop was in a coffee shop using
their wi-fi and your desktop was still at home.
