I hope to do some basic video editing later this month and was going to try
using OpenShot <http://www.openshotvideo.com/>.
More advanced options include Blender <http://blender.org> or the soon to be
open sourced *Lightworks*<http://www.editshare.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=164&Itemid=146>which
are aimed at video editing professionals.
I would be interested to know how people got on with these tools...
