well most fonts the capital and lower case uU is rather different,
especially serif fonts. uk in lower case just looks, and is, wrong, but
in caps it looked too big as "ubuntu" in the logo isn't capitalised.
Using the glyphs of "UK" but shrinking them to the lower case size then
compensating for the loss of weight gives an interesting effect, you
have to look at it a couple of times to work out what is going on. I
quite like it.
