Hi all,

We have our London Christmas event all booked up for the 22nd at the Hub 
Isslington http://loco.ubuntu.com/events/team/568/detail/ (tell your 
friends, email LUGs, tweet it, dent it and post and update on Diaspora 
etc.) but this email isn't really all about that one. There are two Hub 
locations in London, and the Hub Kings Cross have invited us to an event 
they are doing with Ford tomorrow partly because their technical team 
would love to see us :) It is a slightly blatent bit of PR, but hey, if 
Ford want to pay for drinks then it is only polite to go drink them. 
That said, here is their message:


Ford is sponsoring a Christmas event here at the Hub on December 15th, 
Wednesday. They are hiring the venue and putting on drinks and food and 
they want us to invite our network and community of people to come.

The event is in connection with a promotion Ford is running called the 
Ford Focus Global Test Drive.
Entrants to this promotion will be in with a chance to test drive the 
new Ford Focus when it launches in early 2011, in Madrid, and to donate 
$10,000 to a charity of their choosing. You can see the Facebook page

So all we ask is that if you do come, if you wouldn't mind doing so, (it 
is not obligatory) to sit in front of a camera for 60 secs and say which 
charity you think Ford should donate the $10,000 too, and why you'd like 
to test drive the Ford Focus...easy!

We would like to invite your whole group, if you are interested each

I also have had a lot of interest in your group from our 'techy' Hub 
members and also the Hub tech team that are employed by the Hub network 
(and who run the Hub servers through Canonical I have been instructed to 
tell you) and they were interested in networking with you in a casual 
way in a casual environment.
